“This job is not only for me, but also for all the women’s health.”
Anita, who just came to this village only for about 3 years after marriage, is now 26 years old. Approximately 7 months ago, Dharti Mata was looking for some new staff eagerly. At that time, Mithu heard that Anita had already known how to use sewing machines and used to make some Kutar, the traditional clothes for Nepali women, at home. Anita said actually she felt surprised and excited when Mithu asked her to join, but she still accepted this challenge.
Her Mother-in-Law Began Using Cloth Pads
Three are still some old tradition toward menstruation while the habit of the products used in the period has been changing. Anita also gives some cloth pads as gifts for her sisters and her mother-in-law began using cloth pads after the workshop.
She still Enjoyed this Work
In these 7 months, Anita found that the technique of making cloth pads is totally different, but she still enjoyed this work not only because she can earn some money but also because she can take care of all the women’s health!
